Over the last two-year for the ee-Wise project, we have been working to develop a Knowledge Transfer Framework that is relevant to the various value chain agents involved in building retrofitting and energy efficiency across the Southern Mediterranean partner countries. On the 16th of September 2014, we are organising a closing event for ee-WiSE in Valencia, where we will be presenting the research results obtained specifically on knowledge transfer and energy efficiency in retrofitting; and discussing the opportunities raised by our efforts in order to support the emergence of a retrofitting economy in Europe. On the 21st of July 2014 ISTEDIL and ANCE conducted a conference in Rome, Italy. The participants (building companies) were introduced with the ee-WiSE project, and more precisely with the Methodologies for Knowledge transfer within the value chain and particularly to SMEs. The hosting organizations provided not only general information about the Knowledge Transfer Framework and the ee-WiSE project, but also they’ve raised awareness about the Tool and its main features!

Dissemination event organized by Positive Energy was conducted in Athens, Greece on the 3rd of July 2014. The meeting provided information about the ee-WiSE project and most importantly raised awareness about the KTF Tool. The participants (45 people) were introduced with the presentation Definition of the Knowledge Transfer Global Strategy: Guidelines and Recommendations. The event was interactive with a two way communication flows, which usually helps the participants to understand better and later to use the new information more effectively.

More than 35 people with different professional background – City Hall, building companies, education and training institutions, etc. took part in a dissemination event organized by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber on the 19th of June 2014 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The main goal behind the event was to introduce one of the most important results of the ee-WiSE project – the Knowledge Transfer Framework Tool - online sharing platform for Energy Efficiency and building retrofitting materials.
On May 18th 2014, as part of the Energy Sector Innovation Day in Çarşamba, the EGE University organized a dissemination event providing general information and knowledge about the ee-WiSE project and the Knowledge Transfer Framework Tool. Among the participants were building professionals, academics and other stakeholders. The main goal behind the event was to raise the awareness on the KTF and to demonstrate the importance of the University-Industry relations!
ISTEDIL and ANCE conducted a conference in Rome, Italy on the 23rd of January 2014. The main goal behind the event was to provide information about the future validation of the KTF Tool and to invite the participants to the specialized workshops scheduled for the following stages of the project. The conference was attended by representatives of more than 50 building companies.

The second partners’ meeting of the ee-WiSE Project, “Energy Efficiency Knowledge Transfer Framework for Building Retrofitting in the Mediterranean Area”, took place the past 4th and 5th of April in Rafina, Greece.
The partners of the project ee-WiSE organized a successful information-sharing event in the town of Rafina in Greece. The meeting was attended by a large group of 60 local stakeholders and delegations of project partners.

This national event aims to assess the sustainability of current practices of one of the most important industries in the Maltese economy and to explore and capitalise on innovative and green practices being utilised abroad. All aspects of design, materials and regulation will be addressed during the national conference by Maltese and Italian experts.

The first partners’ meeting of the ee-WiSE Project, “Energy Efficiency Knowledge Transfer Framework for Building Retrofitting in the Mediterranean Area”, took place the past 15th and 16th of October in the facilities of the Technological Institute of Ornamental Stone and Construction Materials – INTROMAC (Caceres, Spain).
